► The blood moon is a week long period where werewolves are at their strongest. It is the only time of year they can change at will and create a new werewolf.
► The older a werewolf is the stronger.
► Though they are not immortal, werewolves age a lot more slowly then humans. For instance, a werewolf who is 50 years old could appear to only be in his 20s.
► Werewolves are weak to silver. In human form it will not kill them, but in werewolf form it will (depending on where they are hit).
► Vampire blood makes werewolves significantly stronger.
► When transformed, werewolves do not know who they are or what they are doing. But in the morning they will remember everything.

Werewolves in Solitude are monsters of only legend and tales. No one really knows of their existence (except for vampires), tales of monstrous part human part wolves keeping fear within the human race for hundreds of years. Werewolves in Solitude do not turn into a wolf like creature, rather they turn into a beast that can easily tower 7 feet tall when it stands on two legs. Werewolves in Solitude look very similar to this. Werewolves have kept their existence a secret for an extremely long time and intend to keep it that way unlike the vampires who recently came out of the coffin. You would never be able to pick a werewolf out of a crowd of people, not unless they did something to make their status known. There is one main pack in Solitude that has a huge number of members, the blood pack. They are vicious and keep to themselves wanting nothing more then to drive the vampires out of their land, but that is becoming a more difficult task.

Werewolves and vampires do not get along. They never have and they never will. Different views along with years upon years of suppression and unspeakable horrors done to each species by their ancestors makes them enemies until the day they die. However, quiet recently the Blood pack discovered something about the vampires they never thought of testing before. The blood of a vampire makes them insanely stronger, to the point that they can rival a vampires strength and speed. This discovery led to a massacre of vampires over the past 5 years, the number of werewolves growing while the number of vampires dwindled down significantly. However the vamp - street name for vampire blood - is highly addictive. Most werewolves find themselves uncontrollably addicted to the point that they will find where a vampire lives during the day, sneak into their homes and slaughter them for their blood. After all, a werewolf's biggest strength over a vampire is being able to walk during the day. These string of events are what led for the vampires to become public, they fearing for their unread lives at the hands of the werewolves. So far the plan has been working, vampire killings down quiet a bit since they became public. Werewolves love their vamp but aren't willing to make themselves public to get it.

The werewolves follow a very old string of laws that has been around since the start of time. Even though they like their own species more than others, werewolves generally wont accept strays into their home with welcome arms. The first recorded werewolf was a man by the name of Victor and he was the founder of the blood pack. Majority of the laws he has put in place still remain.

► Whatever age you were bitten is the age you will remain until you meet second death.
► Vampires cannot walk in the sunlight. They do not sparkle and they do not explode. However they will burn as if they were caught in a fire. After being out in sunlight for an extended amount of time (About 5-10 minutes) and vampire will turn to ash and die.
► Vampires have recently exposed themselves to the public.
► The number of vampires in Solitude has dropped drastically over the past 5 or so years because of all the werewolf attacks.
► By nature, vampires are lustful, unemotional creatures. It is not to say a vampire cannot love or feel because they can, but many of them are so old and lost within their ways that they forgot how to properly.
► Vampires do not need to drink human blood, but need some form of blood to survive. But nothing compares to the taste of human blood. It's like substituting tofu for a nice juicy steak.
► Vampires generally heal very quickly. Most wounds that would kill a human or werewolf a vampire will heal from.
► The older the vampire the stronger.
► There are several ways to kill a vampire : Decapitation and a wooden steak to the heart. In this new age there has been the invention of wooden bullets which is just as affective. Basically any wood penetrating the heart of a vampire will kill it, even a toothpick.
► Holy water is like acid to a vampire.
► Because they are technically dead vampire bodies do not retain water, therefor when they cry they cry blood.
► Vampires's strength and speed surpass those of a werewolf, but their senses do not.
► A vampire can still smell certain blood types. A virgin will have the best smell and taste the best out of any other human.

Vampires have been inhabitants of Solitude for long before any records or historical books were written. No one is really sure what came first, the wolves or the fangs, but it is believed that vampires were the first non-human creatures in Solitude. For the longest time Vampires were seen as just creatures of mythical folk lore, but because of recent events the vampires were forced out into the light of human knowledge. By Nature, vampire are lustful creatures. They like the pleasures of life, indulging in alcohol, drugs, sex and anything else they can possibly think of. They are constantly hungry, always itchy to feed their need for blood. Only vampires that are past the point of being a newborn can really ignore their cravings and go without blood for several days at a time. However after a few days of no blood vampire's bodies will start to decompose. Blood is also needed to heal their bodies when they have been injured.

Vampires and werewolves have not gotten along since the beginning of their days, which resulted in the constant war and fighting of the species. About 5 years ago werewolves discovered the affects of drinking vampire blood which led to a mass genocide of the species. In a desperate attempt to keep themselves from being completely wiped out the Elder of the Parthax coven openly exposed vampires to the world. It was his last measure and a desperate attempt at salvation. Most vampires frowned on him for such ideas but his actions saved Parthax and many other vampires from second death. His last attempt was a success. The leader of Parthax knew that the werewolves wouldn't dare risk letting themselves be known to humans by continuing to slaughter their species. For the time being the vampire deaths have been down drastically, which sets the minds of the dead at ease.

It has been little of half a year since the vampires have exposed themselves to the human world, and it has been a rough past couple months. The reaction from the human race was mixed, some people thinking it is one of the coolest things they have ever heard, others thinking that the devil was now punishing human kind for their constant sins. Many religious groups hate the vampires and have no tolerance to them, as where other groups - known as tolerants - are doing everything they can to help them merge into the human world. There has been change all over the world, some places banning vampires from ever stepping foot inside, others open 24 hours for the convenience of the vampires. But there hasn't been just changes in the human world, the vampires have had a lot of changes as well.

Parthax was once one of the most feared, largest, and demanding groups of non-humans in solitude. But now with their numbers barely reaching the 30s they have become something almost of a joke. Many of the older vampires who have been around for a while disapprove of their new way of life, missing the days they could just go out and hunt for whatever they desired. Now, almost every member of Parthax has taken a pledge to drink the blood of animals instead of humans. Deer blood is the most tasteful of the different varieties and most preferred, but it will never replace the taste of human blood. Many of the vampires in Parthax will still feed on humans in private, many willing humans not minding being fed on. There has also been clinics set up around Solitude for people to come and donate blood for vampires, but their supplies are very limited. This drastic action was in attempts to make the merging of vampires and humans easier, and for the most part it has been successful. There are still many loner vampires that are sporadically attacking humans however, which causes vampires to stuffer horrible prejudice and hate from the community.

At this point in time Parthax urges any loner vampire to come join their cause. They know the dangers of the werewolf threat is still in full force and will be looking for a loner vampire to pray on, so they welcome most with open arms. They have also been urging anyone who thinks they can handle the task to become a maker. A maker is a vampire who turns a human into a vampire. It is not a difficult task and anyone can do it, however it is a long process and commitment afterward. The maker is responsible for teaching it's subordinate everything he or she knows, help them adapt to their new life and over all just be there for them. A maker is a lot like a parent or guardian. There is no stronger bond then of that between a maker and their subordinate. To make a vampire, the maker must first feed on the victim until they are barely hanging on to life, then feed them some of their own blood. This will start the transformation. For the human it is very painful - their body literally dies and is then reborn again.

► Most Wickens do not know of werewolves either, but there are some who do.
► here are two kinds of wickens : those who practice magic to kill vampires and those who practice magic to kill werewolves. Both are separate types of magic. It is possible to have knowledge in both but it will make you considerably weaker than say, a necromancer who specializes in vampire spells. A wicken who specializes in werewolf spells is called a conjurer.
► Wickens are Eclipse's form of Hunters.
► Wickens are still somewhat unknown to vampires and werewolves, they being more secluded in secrecy than the werewolves.
► Those who have heard of their existence pay them little to no attention which is a grave mistake. Given enough power they can kill an entire pack or coven.
► Wickens are always more powerful in groups than alone.

Wickens and humans are the backbone to Solitude, the wickens basically a different type of human. Though they both have no super powers or abilities, a wicken is powerful and dangerous. More commonly referred to as a witch, a wicken is someone who practices magic and prays to certain gods as their religion. It wasn't until recently that they realized that their religion can be used as a weapon against the dead and other species, but once they found out they started to experiment more and more. The knowledge of wickens is still mostly unknown to the super natural community, but with their rising power they are bond to become a large threat sometime in the future. Wickens are always more powerful with a group rather than alone, and considering how they always practice their religion together they will surely cause an uproar soon. Spells and incantations are mostly in latin, however there have been a lot of new-age spells that are spoken in english. Spells and other seances require materials such as feathers, blood, ashes, candles etc to perform it properly. The ingredients needed depends on the spell.

In solitude, Wickens are the hunters and warriors of the human race. Most wickens hate vampires and wish nothing more than death upon them, whether it be because of a traumatic past event or just their own hatred they want nothing more than the vampires to suffer (and other non human creatures, if they know of their existence). Normal humans on the other hand have their own views and beliefs base on the person. Humans can choose to help the vampires or appose them, or not to care at all. Some Humans find a sick thrill of being fed on by a vampire, others love to sleep with them, and others just want to help their cause. Some humans even want to become a vampire, which is completely fine by the vampire community. As long as they can find themselves a maker it is more than acceptable.

The existence of Hybrids are thought as only fairytale to the werewolf and vampire community, one never actually existing before. A hybrid is the result of a werewolf and a vampire making a child, that act itself viewed as sinister and dastardly in the eyes of both species. A werewolf falling in love with a vampire is an extremely hard task, especially considering the new lust for blood they have. It is hard for them to control themselves around a vampire let alone fall in love with one. Vampires on the other hand still do not properly know how to love after their long years on earth. in short, Hybrids are extremely rare. Not impossible, just extremely rare. When the bastard child is born, the mother will die during child birth. It is not known why, but it is such an unholy birth that the child kills his or her own mother.

Most Hybrids live not knowing they are hybrids. They just know that something about them is different and off. They will have the healing ability of a vampire and the heightened sense of a werewolf. Above all else, the blood of a hybrid will cure a werewolf and make a vampire human again. None of the species believe in this fairytale, but in solitude there is one hybrid lurking around. The vampires and werewolves know not of her life, and when they cross her in the street neither species knows how to react. When a werewolf crosses paths with a hybrid they smell the wolf in her, but they also smell death, like they smell when they cross paths with a vampire. They generally grow curious and will approach the hybrid, but not by choice per say, but curiosity. A vampire on the other hand will be disgusted by the smell of a hybrid, their blood smelling like rats blood ( the most distasteful blood around ). They generally will not approach the hybrid and do everything they can to avoid him or her.
